The search bar in the top right corner of this site searches the Service Catalog and Knowledge Base.

Search Bar

To refine your results, click the drop-down arrow next to the globe icon. Select the area you want to search:

  • All: The global search in the top-right corner will search all of the services in the Service Catalog AND all of the articles in the Knowledge Base.
  • Service Catalog: Find service pages to submit tickets. See below for more ways to browse the Service Catalog.
  • Knowledge Base: Find information, including FAQs and troubleshooting steps. See below for more ways to browse the Knowledge Base.

So which option is best? It depends. If you are searching by a specific tag, both options will produce similar results. If you are not, you may have a better chance of finding what you need by narrowing your search to either the Service Catalog or the Knowledge Base.

When using the main search bar, the following operators are available:  

  • AND: Requires that both terms are included in the results. For example, cats AND dogs will find results including both cats and dogs.  
  • NOT: Requires that the term after NOT is not included in the results. For example, cats NOT dogs will find results including cats and exclude all results that include dogs. 
  • OR: Allows results where either term is included. For example, cats OR dogs will find results with either term. As the OR operator is the default search operator, the previous example would be equivalent to searching for cats dogs. 
  • "": Requires that the exact phrase is included in the results. For example "cats and dogs" will search for results including the exact phrase "cats and dogs".  
  • #: Searches for a tag, in areas that support tags. For example, #animals will search for articles that are tagged with the animals tag.  

If you cannot find the information you need, try adjusting the tags or keywords you are using in your search.


Search for Services in the Service Catalog

The search bar in the top right corner searches the Service Catalog and the Knowledge Base, which increases the number of results that will be returned. If you want to find a service and submit a ticket, we recommend

  • View an index of services: Select the Services tab to view the Service Catalog. Select Services A-Z at the top of the page to view all services in alphabetical order.
  • Browse services by category: Select the Services tab to view the Service Catalog categories.Under each category name is a brief description of the services within that category.
  • View popular and recently visited services: Select the Services tab. The most frequently used services and services you have visited are listed on the right side of the screen.

Search for Articles in the Knowledge Base

  • Browse articles by category: Select the Knowledge Base tab to see the top-level article categories.
  • View popular articles: Select the Knowledge Base tab. The most visited articles are listed on the right-hand side of the page.
  • Browse related articles: Many articles have related articles listed on the right side of the screen.

Popular Tags & View All Tags

When you select the Knowledge Base or the Services tab, you should see the Popular Tags list on the right side of the page. If you don't see a tag you are looking for, you can also click the View All Tags link at the bottom.
